If this has been officially decided, then I must obviously amend the question. My biggest problem is trying to find the original quiz from which it's been 'replayed' as that will also need amending!

That's interesting, Olax, do you have a reference for that? I see Wikipedia doesn't include it by name, but shows it in spectral images. I don't tend to rely totally on Wiki accuracy, but the NASA website still shows Indigo and also includes it by name ; https://science.hq.nasa.gov/ki ds/imagers/ems/visible.html

I understand that you never know when your quizzes will be re-issued and I know this quiz was created nearly 5 years ago but the visible light question needs revision as indigo is no longer included. Otherwise good, varied selection from old quizzes and well up to your consistently high standard Prag.

Quite possibly, perhaps it's like the word 'cook' in English - A cook, to Cook, Cap'n Cook.......

Great quiz, Prag - even if it was regurgitated!!! I thought Cuire was the verb to cook!
  • Prasutagus said on 08-Nov-2012, 5 years ago
Interestingly, in French, Cuisine also means "cooking" and a cook is "Cuire"! :-D

Yes Deejay, that's the literal translation, but the universally derived definition/meaning is "High Quality Food" or "High Food".

Very enjoyable, as usual, but doesn't haute cuisine mean high kitchen?
