Good one! Reminds me of the joke about an English man and an American. When offered spotted dick and custard the American said "We have antiseptic cream for ours"!!!!!

I'm on a diet, but I still eat the pink, stringy stuff with a crunchy top and hot runny custard - have to, the rain has made the it grow like the clappers this year and I've reaped over 40lbs of it so far this year. Oh my poor freezer, I haven't even started on the runner beans yet!

A very nostalgic quiz, loved all those puddings, my mum made them all, and I have made a few. These days it is, 'Oh, can't eat that , I am on a diet!' Such a shame. good quiz.

Brilliant Quiz, we were lucky enough to have most of those at school dinners, the poor kids now dont.

That's a very posh sounding b&b "duping" choir2. My Dad used to soak the bread in cold tea if we were short of milk back in the dark days but it tasted marvelous.

I make bread and butter duping with marmalade instead of fruit and soak the bread in either Grande Marnier or Cointreau - beautiful!!!
