Now on 19th June, while you lazy lot were playing on Triviala be it new game FaceOff or just racking up more and more knowledge from our whole heap of UGC quizzes, one of the Triviala team Jennifer Fourie took part in the Sumorun in London’s Battersea Park to raise money for the fantastic charity Gemin-i.

Yep, you heard right, the Sumorun! The basic premise was run around the park (whic works out about 5km/3 miles) in a fabulous inflatable sumo suit! Sounds fun right?! It happens annually and the park looks after the Japanese Peace Padgoda so a picturesque setting if there ever was one.

Triviala were proud sponsors of the event too and so here’s a little look at how our very own Jennifer got on…

Jennifer managed to run the course with much success, finishing only 9 minutes after the leader AND to top it all off she was part of setting a new world record for the most number of sumo runners….so even history was made!

We’d like to say a big congrats to Jennifer and to all who took part as it was for such a great cause. We were proud sponsors and hope we’ve encouraged you all to maybe take part in next years Sumorun. (And better yet, you get to keep the outfit!)

Because Triviala is played all around the world, we just want to say a big GOOD LUCK to all the countries participating and wish you all the best.

The first weekend is over with highlights such as the host country South Africa scoring the first goal of the tournament, England v USA making do with a draw after a butter fingers moment from the England goalkeeper Robert Green and Germany scoring a massive 4 goals against Australia on Sunday. And it’s only just begun!

To celebrate the tournament we wait around for every 4 years we’ve got a FANTASTIC new quiz ALL about the World Cup.  There will be a  new quiz EVERYDAY with up to date questions and trivia and if you can score as many points as possible, you could be in with a chance of winning 100 crowns PLUS a jersey top of your choice!
